Healing history, sessions, training with Reiki Master Barbara M V Scott MSc |
||
| Reiki [pronounced "Ray-Key"] is an ancient healing
modality
which first came to the U.S. in the late 1970s through Hawayo Takata
and John and Beth Gray. Mikao Usui in Japan had received the
answer to his question "How did Jesus heal?" in a vision. He began a
Reiki school where he taught many students, including Chujiro Hayashi,
who passed the teachings on to Hawayo Takata who taught in California and British Columbia. My teacher, Steven McFadden,
was attuned by John Gray.

Sessions During a typical Reiki session, which lasts 60-90 minutes, the practitioner "channels" universal life force [Reiki] through the upper chakras and out her hands while employing strategic hand positions on or above the client's fully clothed body. Reiki practitioners do not manipulate the body, diagnose, or prescribe. Reiki is known to relieve stress and bring energy to the body's cells and hence the vital organ systems. For chronic conditions a minimum of 4 treatments is most appropriate. The healing experienced by clients originates with Spirit and credible practitioners are not dogma bound or egocentric. $80 per session |
